Winter Wonderland - Snow Globe Shaker Kit

Winter Wonderland - Snow Globe Shaker Kit

Hi there Queen & Co fans!
As I mentioned last week, here is the 2nd instalment of card ideas using my stamp set, designed especially for Queen & Company with Fall & Winter in mind. This unique, Snow Globe Stamp & Shaker set , AND the Pop Up Dies- 8 circles as well as a selection of pretty fillers are perfect for your holiday card making projects!
The beauty of this set is that the individual stamps can work equally as well for Fall cards as well as Winter themed cards. Today I will be showing you some examples you could try for the Holidays.
I selected white cardstock this time for the outer ring & snow globe base. TIP: To get a loose snow globe base, stamp in a light color ink on the back of the cardstock, use the stamped image as a template. Fussy cut the shape out & adhere to the bottom the circle shaker window. I used an appropriately sized die from the Pop Up Dies- 8 circles found in the online store, to create a ring around the circle window.
By stamping 'trunk' of the tree in bright green, then used the the fir tree branch stamp to fill in....voila! I had the cutest little fir tree. Multiple layers of torn white paper became home for the little cluster of happy penguins. A mixture of pearlies & bubble fillers made the snow interactive and red dotted paper from our 6x6 paper pads cut into a starburst design, was the perfect way to offset the snowy scene.
Red stripes & aqua really compliment the snowflake pattern created using the different snowflake stamps in the set as well as the jaunty red scarf worn by Mr Snowman. I love how the smallest branch stamp becomes his arms LOL. To further the snowy theme, a mixture of silver, white and clear pearlies & bubbles look great in the shaker. If you are curious how I achieved the dot pattern on the snow globe base, I selected a lighter aqua ink & stamped it onto a piece of patterned paper from our dotted 6x6 paper pads
I selected craft cardstock this time for the outer ring & snow globe base and charcoal for the inside to make the fillers pop!
Again I stamped a 'trunk' for the tree in grey ink & added branches this time creating the base for the tree. A lighter green ink & the fir tree branch stamp fills in perfectly. Red ornaments with embossing powder make it so festive and don't you love how the fussy cut holly sprig draws attention to the title? A mixture of aqua patterns from our 6x6 paper pads cut into strips & machine stitched, are such a great way to decorate the base card.

So as you can see...this one stamp set has multiple uses no matter the card theme. Remember to pop back and take a look at what other fantastic ideas the DT have come up with.
Be sure to grab one of these limited edition sets whilst they are available.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
