Every time Queen & Co. releases a new 6 x 6 paper pad I think, “These are my new favorite papers!”. Every time. I guess I just love them all! So of course I hate to waste any of the precious paper scraps. I pretty much save any scrap bigger than an inch or two. And believe it or not, I use my paper scraps often. Here’s a layout I created with paper strips from a variety of 6 x 6 pads.
I cut a bunch of 1-inch tall strips of paper. Then I distressed and curled one long edge of each strip. I adhered the strips in rows along a hand-cut heart. Since some rows required pieces longer than 6-inches, I had to cheat a little and join two pieces in some places (I don’t think it’s too noticeable unless you’re looking closely). I didn’t worry about lining up the strips with the edges of the heart because I simply cut off the excess once all the strips were adhered in place on the heart.
I also used some pink polka dot paper scraps to make the rolled roses.
Supplies: Paper Pads (various), Iridescent Bubbles, Posies, Pearl Flowers, Glitter Flowers.
So come on everybody, use those scraps!
