Hi Queen and Co fans!
Rebecca here with 2 new cards using the Snow Globe Kit with Dies Much of the kit has a traditional snow globe feel, including a stamp set with a snowman and penguin. But did you know you could create a springtime shaker with this set too?
Rebecca here with 2 new cards using the Snow Globe Kit with Dies Much of the kit has a traditional snow globe feel, including a stamp set with a snowman and penguin. But did you know you could create a springtime shaker with this set too?
I used the tree, branches, leaves and flowers stamps from the set to create a budding spring tree on top of a lightly ink blended background. I used the "thanks sentiment" and "for everything” from the stamp set and stamped and die cut the base of the snow globe too. Using the clear and light blue diamond shakers from the kit lends to the springy feel.
For the next card, I decided to create a shadowbox rather than a shaker because I wanted my little critters to sit at the base of the snow globe and if I turned it into a shaker they might be hidden by shaker goodies.
So instead of pouring the shakers inside, I adhered them to the background and did not cover everything with the acetate. This card certainly has a more wintery feel, but it does not necessarily need to be used during the holidays. Of course this kit could be used to create more traditional holiday snow globe cards, but I love seeing how versatile a kit can be simply by changing the colors or deciding which stamps from the set to use!
Thanks for stopping by!
:) Rebecca
