Hello! Kim Watson here sharing some inspiration in the form of a layout using the newest kit from Queen & Co. called Birthday Bash! It is fabulous, festive & filled with all sorts of dies & stamps, perfect for any birthday theme project.
My page is a riot of color, texture & cute embellishments, making full use of all the gorgeous techniques possible using this kit. What a perfect way to capture a sweet photo from our DD's 4th birthday.
You will notice that I created areas of interest, more concentrated at the 4 corners of the page, thus creating tension within the design. The idea was to stick to tonal color combinations with a mixture of die cut & stamped pieces to decorat each square. This corner features a lovely blend of pinks & yellow.
For this corner, I created an ice-cream cone complete with pom-pom topping & a little yellow banner.
The bottom row of squares have a blue/ green color palette, yellow being the color that visually binds all the elements together. Little stamped sentiments from the Birthday Bash kitwork well to help tell my story.
Pom-poms & buttons are the best way to add dimension & interest to your custom made embellishments.
And on the subject of pom-poms...have you tried a multi color pom-pom frame yet? I made one for my photo not only to add festive birthday vibes to the page but to also act as the visual anchor, tying all the colors in the page together with awesome results!
I ADORE how this page turned out. It is colorful & fun & will look super in the DD's birthday album.
