It's Mary Ann Jenkins here today with a new layout using the adorable Fruit Basket Shaker kit. This is such a cute kit, I love everything that is included, especially the fimo shaker "filling" pieces There are juicy little watermelons, some of your favorite citrus fruits and even tiny bright red strawberries, it's a whole fruit salad!!
For my layout, I decided to document the quaint little fruit stand in our town. We stop there about once a week for oranges and is such a part of our routine, it's something I'll always want to remember.
To get started, I printed my journaling using my computer and then sprinkled and splattered some watercolors (nothing fancy, I borrowed them from my 8 year old) on to my cardstock. Once the paint was dry, I added my 2 photos. Next I made the sweet little orange wedge shaker using the beautiful paper from the paper pad, and filled it with the tiny orange slices. I tucked in a small cluster of green bakers twine right on top of the leaves to add a bit more texture. The bakers twine is included in the kit too, for this I just separated the green strands from the white strands.
I also die cut the large orange slice, and tucked it just under the edges of my photos. I stamped the sentiment with a matching ink and layered it right on top
To finish my layout, I glued some of the tiny orange fimo slices here and there , I just love the little orange bits!!
