Hi friends.
Kim here with some new card ideas using the fabulous new Bug Jar Kit.
My first card makes use of the sweet little bee stamps & dies and the jar shaker from the 'Love Jar kit' with the new 'cloth' jar top stamp & die from the 'Bug Jar Kit'. Focusing on the bee theme, I cut & stitched a large hexagon and added some simple mixed media using yellow ink & a smaller hexagon shaped mask.
The black & white striped jar topper looks striking against the yellow & white palette, as does the mixture of toppings; teeny bugs from the kit, posies & pearl toppers.
A sentiment stamped on yellow patterned paper from our 6x6 paper pads, teamed with a black pennant shape, some black & white bakers twine and yellow & white pearls...finishes off this card perfectly.
My next card, also using the new Bug Jar Kit, focuses this time on the lightening bug stamps & dies.
When planning this card, I had an idea in my mind...and executing it was so much fun! Starting with navy blue ink I created a night sky, chevron patterned paper from the 6x6 paper pads finished off the lower part of the card. I left my jar 'open' with the 'lid' half off & a few critters still in the jar. A vellum jar base knocked back the background colors, helping to show off the bugs glowing butts & jewel toppers.

A stamped sentiment onto a tag & attached with yellow twine paper twine adds punch to the bottom right corner.
White & yellow crayons create the bug glows and jewel topper stars add shine to the night sky. A few yellow & white rubber bubbles scattered around, add dimension & color balance.
More gorgeous stamp & die sets from Queen & Company, designed to make our card making an streamlined experience. I will be a fan for life.
Glad you stopped in.
