How to Create Ombre Shaker Cards

Hey Queen and Co fans!
Rebecca here with two new cards featuring Queen and Co. fabulous shaker products.
Once you realize how easy it is to create shaker cards with Queen and Co Foam Front Card Kits, dies and Toppings, you can start getting fancy! I wanted my shaker cards to have an ombre look, so I created a front panel with a blended Distress Ink background and filled my shakers with a variety of Toppings in different hues.

Start with a smooth piece of white cardstock slightly larger than 4.25 x 5x5 inches. Ink the cardstock with inks creating an ombre effect. I used Tim Holtz Distress inks because they are easy to blend, but any inks you have will work.
Cut the card panel with a Shaker Die that has a repetitive pattern like the Chevron or Dots.
Put your shaker card together using a variety of Toppings. The great thing about owning several sets of Toppings is that each color in the sets has a slightly different hue. Cover the completed shaker with your inked card panel and add a few coordinating embellishments and you’re done! Ombre shakers can be bright and summery and are perfect for a variety of occasions!
