When thinking about my next jar design, the “I cannot contain my gratitude!” stamp stood out to me. I knew I wanting something bursting forth from this sweet shaker, but what? Ah ha! A rainbow! That always seems like a happy way to say hey.
For a soft shade of rainbow, cut your pieces from the paper included in the Love Jar Kit.
Add a cloud at the end of your colorful path. It’s a great place to add a sentiment and a few stamped hearts.
If you want your jar to take on the same soft look, die cut your jar from white cardstock and color it using colored pencils. For a more glass-like finish, top your colored pieces with dimensional glaze.
That rainbow has to come from somewhere. Fill your jar with colorful rhinestones and clear crystals to create a radiant rainbow mix.
CARD 2: HAPPY HELLO
Here’s a project where you can shake things up by turning an otherwise “extra” piece into the focal shaker on your card. It’s a fun way to take your shake further!
To begin, die cut a heart from the center of your “leftover” jar die cut using the kit’s included heart die.
Line the die with foam adhesive to seal the window and make it a shaker.
A clear liner from a foam jar center works well to seal the heart window. Now it’s time to drop in those bits (wood veneer shapes and crystals)!
To create some distance and depth of field, trim two supporting jars slightly smaller than your main jar and place them slightly higher on the paper’s horizon line. This makes it look as though they’re set back a bit. Dress one with the heart you cut from your main jar. Trim it down a bit first for a better fit. Decorate the second jar with your card’s stamped sentiment. I stamped on white cardstock and trimmed it to give a little extra lift.
Going back to the original stamp inspiration that directed my card making, let’s make the bouquet really pop. Foam adhesive is an easy way to add lift to some of the flowers and depth to the overall bouquet.
Feel like sharing? I’d love to hear your ideas on what other things could come bursting forth from these totally cute jars? How far will you take the jar?
Cheers!
