Hi there, Laurie Schmidlin with you today. I've got a couple of cards to share with you featuring the brand new Halloween Hooplah Kit! This year, I have gone from having never made a shaker card in my life to being completely addicted to creating them! The Queen & Co Shaped Shaker Kits are entirely responsible for my newest obsession! :-) Every time I think the kits cannot get any cuter, the next one comes out and I'm blown away!
Can I just say how completely adorable these little fimo pumpkins are? I just can't get over them!
I created a little night scene out of the patterned paper from the kit. One tip, when stamping on the clear acetate pieces like I did here, make sure to use a permanent ink (I used StazOn).
I couldn't help myself, I just had to add one of the fimo pumpkins to my sentiment strip! To the top of the pumpkins, I added a piece of thinly cut cardstock that I curled around a pencil.
For my second card, I combined two of the patterned papers from the pad included in the Halloween Hooplah Kit. I chose to use the witch's hat for my focal image and created a spooky shaker from it. My favorite part of creating shaker cards is choosing the toppings and filling them up! It never gets old!
With the busy background of the card, I wanted to make sure the shaker focal image stood out so I added a vellum star. I embellished with some of the included Orange Iridescent Bubbles.
Thanks so much for joining me here today!
