I am excited to be on the blog again today with a new project using the Shaped Butterfly Die set
and Butterfly Clear Stamp Set; they are a match made in heaven and together made my spring inspired page so much fun to put together....this is the result!
The idea was to have one of each of the butterflies fluttering around the page but in order to do that, they needed a garden. A mixed media background was the starting point; it became my sky upon which I built all the other elements.
Using a selection of patterned papers from the 6x6 paper pads, I hand cut a sun and nestled it amongst some fluffy, white, machine stitched clouds. The 1st butterfly in orange, was filled with coordinating Orange Rubble Toppings , a stamped sentiment became it's flight path :)
On the right hand side of the page, a pretty yellow butterfly filled with yellow rubble filler, gently lands on a large patterned paper flower. Machine stitched circles, add understated texture.
The 3rd butterfly sweet in pale pink with pink rubble filler, hovers above freshly mown grass all tied up in twine. Using the band of grass as a guide, I hand wrote journaling grounding the whole page nicely. Buttons & tiny felt flowers add the finishing touches.
Now you can see what I meant earlier when I said this set is darling! I love how this page turned out...perfect for the photo of sweet Cassidy at 9 years old.
I am thrilled you stopped by...thank you! Have a wonderful day further.
