Hey hey it's SUMMER & Queen & Company have just the thing for your summer crafting projects! How cute is this die set??! I LOVE IT!!
I have a few projects I have created using it...but today my project is a layout....and I am so happy with how it captures the feeling of 'summer in the sun'.
Take a look.
Beach Fun by Kim Watson
Limiting my color palette to a nautical summer palette, I created a clean, graphic vibe offset by neutrals. By using the 'color block method', I was able to create little scenes in order to make use of the different dies, stamps & 6x6 paper pads.
A little island with cute shaker palm trees & stamped sentiment, floating in an ocean of patterned paper at sunset makes an eye catching cluster on the left side of the page. Did you notice the little 'starfish'? The new red starbursts bling just arrived in the store, look just like starfish in-situ; another example of how versatile the goodies at Queen & Company are.
Let's look at the title cluster. I love how the colorful stamped strip, patterned pennants & red paper twine, boost the craft title & helps make it look really great. It was so simple to make too. 3 different ink colors, card stock & the 'HAPPY SUMMER' stamp from the Sunny Days Shaped die set.
And lastly those ADORABLE shaker flip flops. I means seriously...it doesn't get any cuter than this. You will notice that only the right hand die comes in the set....but do not fear, making the left one is super easy to do. Just flip your paper cutting the reverse side, the embossing shows through the paper, helping the shoes look like a set. For the fillers I used the NEW Jewels fillers & Tiny Bubbles fillers.
So once again I have had a fabulous week crafting with my Queen & Company stash. If you want to create something similar to mine...be sure to check out the amazing new products in the online store.
Have a fabulous week further.
