Hi Queen & Co friends, Kim here with a new layout using the gorgeous Love Jar kit.
I wanted to create the perfect page for my BFF & her daughters that was fitting this bevy of beauties. My starting point was a mixed media background of oxide inks in deep yellow & hot pink.
Then came the jar of spring flowers, using the stamp set in the kit. Given I needed to stamp the flowers directly onto the background, a die cut a white cardstock, scalloped, rectangle worked as the base.
The little jar is filled with white & blue fimo flowers, teeny wood hearts & punched hot pink hearts for color balance; the heart shaped label with sentiment & turquoise bakers twine were the perfect finishing touches for this cluster.
Layers of three different papers from the 6x6 paper pad, add color & interest. By journaling onto paper strips...I was able to add subtle dimension & interest beneath the jar cluster.
Large patterned & hand-cut flowers, then layered for flourish, frame the photo.
The result....an utterly feminine page, full of spring blooms, color & texture.
True to form, Queen & Co, has created another winning kit!
