Cord String Art!

Cord String Art!

Hello Queen & Co friends, Kim here with a new layout to share. Today I have the task of showing you a few ways to use the CordHalos & Rubber Bubbles ...are you ready...?
I am not sure if you are aware that the cord is elastic, making it super easy to work with...AND with it coming in so many fun colors, I wanted a way to use them all together creating a rainbow effect. So inspired by string art, I created a multi-colored heart as my base accent. Isn't it fabulous?!
Now come the Halos! Also coming in a great selection of colors...I used them as anchor points around the heart shape. Little matt rubber bubbles scattered around the inside of the heart add teeny pops of color & extra texture.
I used paper from the 6x6 Paper Pads to matt the photo & hand cut a B for 'Baby' & 'Boy'; this layered with journal dots & tags makes a great corner cluster. The show stopper by far is the 'Party Hat' embellishment found in the, Birthday Bash stamp & die set. Aren't those tiny pom-poms the cutest ever!
The bottom of the photo is decorated with a group of ' Stamped Pennants' also from the Birthday Bash stamp & die set, by limiting the colors to orange, red & purple I was able to uses color to tone down the busy-ness of the page. Underneath became the perfect spot for one of the journaling clusters.
To balance out the design, I added another cluster on the left side of the page consisting of more journal spots, tags, patterned paper pennants & another DIY accent. The baby block was created using the Pretty Presents Kit & the Little Letters all I did to change a present into a block, was snip off the bow, add a paper drop shadow & some ABC's.
As you can see the result is a bright, happy page, perfect for this cute photo of Max at 9 months. I love how the bright modern vibe of this page, really brightens up his baby album.
Once again Queen & Company has just what I need to successfully complete this project...be sure to check out the online store for their amazing new products
Have a fabulous week further.
