Hello Summer Layout!

Hello Summer Layout! 0

Good morning Queen & Co. fans!
Nicole Nowosad here and I am excited to share with you a page using lots of fun and sparkly Queen & Co. embellishments and fillers.

I really wanted to add a little sparkle and shine to the sunburst in my layout and what better way than to add in some great sparkly Donuts, Pinwheels, Twinkle Drops and more! I added some subtle stitching lines for texture and then placed my embellishments along that line to finish off the starburst detail.

I didn't stop there ! I added some fun baby bead fillers to add some dimension to my title area - so quick and easy to do too!

Sit back and watch how this project came together HERE on YouTube!

Have a fantastic Day!

Pool Party Layout!

Pool Party Layout! 0

Hello, it's Mary Ann Jenkins here with a new layout to share!

I know we're in the middle of summer (at least here in the states) but I'm still trying to catch up on some of my kids' school activity photos. This layout does have a summer feel to it since it's about a day at the pool, but it's really for my daughters school album, and I'm happy to be crossing her first grade pool party layout off my to do list!!

This project actually started when I saw the Summer Splash Epoxy Icons, that cute little anchor piece seemed like it was made to go with my photo since both girls have an anchor on their swim suits. The rolling waves and that adorable whale were perfect to add in to go along with the water theme.

I used my die cutting machine to cut out various sized circles from my cardstock, added pieces of patterned paper behind some of the circles, and also added the Blue Skinny Glitter Tape behind a few of the circles too. The Glitter Tape really catches your eye!

Next I added a bit of blue water color paint that I borrowed from my daughter (ha-ha!) just splattering it here and there. After the paint had dried, I then added the photo and the Epoxy Icons.

To finish my layout, I also added some of the Blue Sequins from the Toppings Set, and a few of the Blue Pinwheels for a little more texture and shine.

I love all the blue embellishments mixed in together, they all look so pretty and sparkly!

Thanks for stopping by the Queen and Company blog today, we love to inspire!

Hello! Amy Sheffer here today with a pair of encouragement cards.

You Shine Brighter

For my first card, I chose this uplifting sentiment stamp from Papertrey Ink. To go along with the sentiment, I watercolored an intense night sky made up of shades of blue, turquoise, and purple. I started out with Zig watercolor brush markers, then added intensity with ink refills.

You Shine Brighter

Next I added various embellishments as the stars in the sky: White Pinwheels, star sequins from the Sequin Topping Set, and Petite Posies.

A touch of black and white striped twine helps bring out the darker ink colors and the black star sequins.

My next card is just about the complete opposite in style. This time I focused on simplicity and lots of white space. I die-cut a gray cloud out of a pattern from the Flirty Florals Paper Pad and stamped it with an encouraging sentiment from Papertrey Ink.

I stitched lines from the cloud down to a rainbow of Twinkle Drops for rain. Everything is mounted with foam adhesive to a white scalloped card base. Super sweet and simple.

How To Use Foam and Acetate Sheets to Make Shakers

How To Use Foam and Acetate Sheets to Make Shakers 0

Hi Queen and Co fans!
Rebecca here with a couple of new shaker cards made with the Foam and Acetate refill sheets. There are a couple of extra steps that you need to take if you are making a shaker from the sheets versus from a Queen and Co Shaker Card Kit.
For example, you have to die cut the foam yourself. Any of the Queen and Co Foam Front Dies perfectly create card sized shakers.
You will also need to cut your own card base and provide your own envelope.
But these extra steps only take a few minutes and, with the refill sheets, you are able to create any shaker that you have the die to create.
Check out this quick video where I show all the steps to create a shaker card using a Foam Front Die and the refill sheets.

Hello crafty friends, Kim here.

Welcome to the Queen & Company blog. Today I am excited to share x2 card ideas with you. They are both colorful and fun to create with a clever little technique on each, you might not have thought of trying before. Let me show you what I created.

Best Wishes Sweetie Card by Kim Watson

Inspired by the stamp sentiment & the foam candles base, I created this card filled with candy swirls. Together with swirly lolly bits, bakers twine swirly candy bits & iridescent pearls, the result is colorful & good enough to eat! I love 3D cards with lots to touch & feel, & this idea does just that!

Hello, Miss You Card by Kim Watson

Cards personalised with photographs are so trendy right now & really well received, especially by family members. This card was one I have been wanting to try ever since I received my talk bubble die set. Max misses his uncle and aunt who live in the U.K so much, and what better way to tell them he misses them, than with a card with his cute face on the front?

The photo was trimmed to fit inside the die-cut area and stuck onto the card base, before I attached the foam front. By coordinating the fillers to match the photograph, they don't obscure the image but rather add sparkle & interest to the photograph. Alpha stickers, washi tape, iridescent pearls, a lolly & button...make this card fun to make & a pleasure to receive!

I am so glad you stopped by!
Have a smashing week further!

Mixing Paper Pads!

Mixing Paper Pads! 0

Hi everyone,
Nicole here today to share a project with you. I picked up the Around the Park 12x12 Mat Stack to document some vacation photos to the mouse's house... but when I opened it up, I found some pretty b-side papers that are perfect for girly page!
It is almost hard to believe that these papers came from a Disney themed paper pad right! The pretty floral paper in the Around the Park mat stack has lots of colors in it, so I was able to mix in some papers from the Heart Throb paper pad as well as the Picture Perfect paper pads too.
I added in lots of fun  Queen and Co. embellishment to the floral elements on my page too - some Sparklers, Sunflowers and even some Petite Posies, along with some dots from the Heart Throb kit.
