How To Use Foam and Acetate Sheets to Make Shakers

How To Use Foam and Acetate Sheets to Make Shakers 0

Hi Queen and Co fans!
Rebecca here with a couple of new shaker cards made with the Foam and Acetate refill sheets. There are a couple of extra steps that you need to take if you are making a shaker from the sheets versus from a Queen and Co Shaker Card Kit.
For example, you have to die cut the foam yourself. Any of the Queen and Co Foam Front Dies perfectly create card sized shakers.
You will also need to cut your own card base and provide your own envelope.
But these extra steps only take a few minutes and, with the refill sheets, you are able to create any shaker that you have the die to create.
Check out this quick video where I show all the steps to create a shaker card using a Foam Front Die and the refill sheets.

ROYGBIV = Happy people!

ROYGBIV = Happy people! 1

Stacy Cohen here,
If you’ve seen my craft projects over the years, you know that I love to use rainbow colors.  There’s something about the good ol’ ROYGBIV that makes me so happy!   Here are a couple of rainbow cards I made using Queen & Co. products.

First up is a card featuring a heart with a cascade of rainbow buttons.   I first cut out a heart from white cardstock and used that as my base for adhering the buttons in a rainbow-colored pattern.  I filled in the tiny empty spots with color-coordinated Petite Posies.  Once the heart was filled in, I adhered it to my card front.

It might be hard to see, but I die-cut a “celebrate” sentiment and adhered it to the bottom right corner of the card.  I wanted to keep it subtle so as not to distract from the rainbow.

The second card is fairly clean and simple.  I used one of the butterfly dies from the Shaped Shaker Butterfly kit to cut butterflies from the Delightful Dots rainbow pad.

I adhered them to my card in a column in rainbow order.

I finished off the card by adding a Pom Flower to the center of each butterfly.

Hope your day is full of rainbows and unicorns and all that good stuff!
Stacy
Multiple Shakers - One Layout!

Multiple Shakers - One Layout! 0

Good morning!

Mary-Ann Maldonado here with a fun summery layout using two foam front shaker sets.  I also used almost every color bling I had for this layout too!  You are supposed to when you have a rainbow, right?

I started by choosing four photos of a pool day and printed them to size.  Then I created the sunburst shaker and applied them both to the center of the layout.

I collected all the color bling I had to apply at the bottom and top of the page.

It seemed a little empty, so clouds above the sun was the perfect choice!  I used varying colors to help them pop as well.  I couple white Pom added just a little fluffiness.

So, I actually used three die cuts and two foam shakers.  I think it is fun to mix and match.  You should try it!

Here are the supplies that I used:

Cloud Pop Up Die, Sunburst Shaker Set, Windows Foam Front Shaker Kit, Picture Perfect 6x6 pad, Simple Stripes 6x6 pad, Flirty Florals 6x6 pad, Delightful Dots 6x6 pad, orange Iridescent Pearls, Green, orange and red Sparklers, blue, purple, yellow, pink, red, green Rivets, blue Pinwheels, turquoise Twinkle Drops, yellow Lollies, white Pom Flowers, Toppings: Tiny Bubbles, Diamonds, Pops, and Bright Pearlies

Hey everyone!
It's Greta with you today. We are well into summer here so I thought I would put together one of my favorite summer color combos for my cards. For my first card, I featured one of summers favorite sweet treats, ice cream cones.
I used the ice cream cone die cut to make a triple dip, set on a white background. To dress it up, I added epoxy dots and twine.

For this second card, I used the same color combo to create a serene beach scene.

By layering kraft cardstock for sand, and two different colors of blue for water and sky, the background is complete.

I used the umbrella shaker and die cut in orange and yellow, to make my beach umbrella, embellished with a Pom flower. A sun die cut with bling and a stamped sentiment finishes off this fun beach card!

Supplies Used:  Shaped Shaker Spring, Sprinkles Toppings, Orange Pom Pom Flower, Yellow Posies

Happy summer and Thanks for stopping by!

Love Presents? - Pretty Presents Shaker Kit

Love Presents? - Pretty Presents Shaker Kit 0

Hi everyone! Nicole here today to share a quick project using the June kit from Queen & Co.
Of course this kit is perfect for all things birthday, so I couldn't resist digging out some older photos of my daughter's first birthday for this project. The dies and shaker in this month's kit is perfect to create your own birthday package embellishments and the sentiment stamps are perfect to add a little sentiment on your projects.
The paper pad has a great variety of colors and patterns that are party ready - so perfect for both masculine and feminine projects you may have in mind.  I diecut several of the packages from different patterns in the paper pad and layered them together to create a different colored bow on the top of the package. I filled them up with the great toppings in this month's kit too! I love the variety of color choices that come in the kit too. Use one color or mix them up for a playful little package.

I was able to add in some other fun Queen & Co. embellishments into my project too! I added in some Pom Flowers to the top of one of the gifts, and scattered some White Iridescent Flowers throughout my page to finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
